Mystical Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina, the heart shaped land lies in the heart of southeast Europe. It is a stunningly beautiful country with a vast array of landscapes, cultures, traditions and people.  Although visited by many, it can be still considered as undiscovered gem of Balkan peninsula. It is here that eastern and western civilizations met, sometimes clashed, but more often enriched and reinforced each other throughout its long and fascinating history leaving the rich tradition and the range of architectural styles around the country. The mix of influences can be seen in cities like Sarajevo, Mostar, Banja Luka, Jajce and some others gaining favor with travelers for their own reasons. Mostar’s Old Bridge over the Neretva River has been drawing visitors for past decades, as well as the colorful center city bazar Baščaršija in Sarajevo. Even more, BiH is the land of the one of the strangest mysteries in archaeology the stone spheres (dating back to 20.000 BC). But, not the only one. Bosnian pyramids from Visoko, Stećak –  monumental medieval tombstones that lie scattered across Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the border parts of Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia make this country mystical. It is nearly impossible to decipher the many mystical influences that have merged on this tiny Balkan country. The landscapes around the country are as intriguing as the land’s history, offering stunning canyons, snow topped mountain peeks and winding rivers. And no one will not leave the country without trying some of its delicious foods.
